Gladney, Hadac Named Preseason All-Americans by FreeAgentFootball.com
ITHACA, N.Y. – FreeAgentFootball.com released its 2019 Division III Preseason All-Americans on Sunday, August 25 and Ithaca College senior captains Will Gladney and John Hadac were honored. Gladney landed on the first-team offense as a wide receiver, while Hadac was a second-team honoree on defense on the defensive line. Gladney, the 2018 Liberty League Offensive Player of the Year, recorded 870 yards and nine touchdowns on 68 receptions in nine games last season, which included a career-best game of 14 catches for 236 yards against Utica on November 17. Last fall, Gladney set school records in receptions, yards and touchdowns. During his sophomore campaign, Gladney hauled in 72 receptions for 1,024 yards and seven scores. Hadac, a two-time All-Liberty League performer, posted 40 total tackles (22 solo) with six tackles for loss and four sacks last season. He also forced two fumbles and returned an interception for 53 yards against Alfred on Sept. 15. In 2017, Hadac notched 37 tackles and 7.5 tackles for loss. Ithaca opens its season ranked No. 15 in the country by Street and Smith's, and No. 25 by College Football America Yearbook. The Bombers travel to Saint Vincent College for the first game of the season on Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. in Latrobe, Pa. IC will make its home debut on the 21st against Alfred at 1 p.m.
