Terriers Open Up NEC Play with 4-2 Victory at Central Connecticut State


NEW BRITAIN, CT – The St. Francis College Brooklyn men's soccer team (5-1-1, 1-0-0 NEC) earned its first Northeast Conference (NEC) win of the season as it defeated Central Connecticut State (0-5-1, 0-1-0 NEC), 4-2, in come from behind fashion on Friday. The Terriers used three unanswered second half goals to down the Blue Devils en route to their first conference win of the season. The four goals for the Terriers are their most since the 2018 regular season finale against Mount St. Mary's when they also tallied four scores. Friday's win marked St. Francis' third in a row, its longest winning streak of the 2019 season and longest regular season streak since it won five-straight matches to close out the 2017 campaign. The Terriers have now earned seven consecutive victories over Central Connecticut dating to 2013. Over the seven-match winning streak, St. Francis has outscored Central Connecticut, 12-2.
