Terriers Fall to Central Connecticut State on Sunday Afternoon


NEW BRITAIN, CT– The St. Francis College Brooklyn women's soccer team (0-11-0, 0-4-0) fell to the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State University (4-4-4, 2-1-1) by a score of four nil on Sunday afternoon. The Terriers faced the top team in the NEC's preseason poll with anticipations of earning their first victory of their existence. HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Freshman defender Hannah Russell logged one shot in 90 minutes of action.

  • Sophomore goalkeeper Maggie Boston recorded three saves on the pitch this afternoon.

  • Freshman forward Jamie-Lyn Shimamoto registered one shot on the afternoon.

  • Junior goalkeeper Klil Keshwar entered the match in the second half, and faced three shots. All were turned away.

UP NEXT: The Terriers return to action on Friday, October 11 when they welcome the Warriors of Merrimack College to Pier 5 at Brooklyn Bridge Park for a 1 p.m. showdown.
