Hostos Climbs to #5 in NJCAA National Poll

Bronx, N.Y. – The NJCAA announced its fifth weekly Division III National Men's Basketball rankings on Monday, December 9, tabbing Hostos Community College as the No. 5 team in the country after a 2-0 week for the Caimans including a road win against nationally ranked Nassau Community College. Hostos has started the season with a 10-1 overall record on the year, as they look to win their fourth Region XV Championship and second National Championship in program history. The Caimans are led by Korey Williams offensively, as the sophomore guard is averaging 27.7ppg while shooting 57.6% from deep with 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game. Freshman Reggie Quezada is the second half of the dynamic backcourt duo leading the Caimans while averaging 25.5ppg and 8rpg and 3.4apg. also contributing for the Caimans is freshman guard Shakur Herbin who averages 7ppg and 7.2rpg.
