Buissereth Sets First NCAA Qualifying Time of 2019-20 Season
Boston, Mass. - Gabrielle Buissereth of the Adelphi University women's track and field team set the first NCAA qualifying time for the Panthers this season at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University on Friday. Buissereth placed ninth overall in the 400-meter dash with a career-best time of 56.43. She beat the NCAA provisional mark of 56.53 to officially make her first individual NCAA list. Buissereth is currently ranked No. 20 in all of NCAA Division II women's track and field for the 400-meter race. Katherine Marsh also had a career day in the 800-meter run. The freshman clocked a 2:14.58 for an indoor personal-best, in addition to posting the top time in the Northeast-10 Conference and on Adelphi's freshman all-time list. She is currently ranked No. 13 in all of Division II in that event. The Panthers will return to Boston University for their next meet on February 14 for the David Hemery Valentine Invite.
