Kenosh Leads Saints with Two Top-15 Finishes at Burke Mountain


Sophomore Tommy Kenosh posted two top-15 finishes to lead the St. Lawrence University Alpine ski team in the men's giant slalom at Burke Mountain in East Burke, Vermont on Saturday afternoon.


Kenosh finished 11th in the first race of the day with a time of two minutes and 4.62 seconds. Kenosh skied to a 13th place finish in the second race of the day in 2:04.90, finishing the day with 59 EISA points and 44 NCAA points.


Brian Seltzer posted a 12th-place finish in the first race with a time of 2:07.74, while first-year Kobe Villeneuve and Henry Kearing placed 15th and 17th, respectively in the second race to close out the scoring athletes for the Saints.


"We had another good day of racing," said head coach Willi Steinrotter. "I'm proud of how the guys competed on this difficult hill and was glad to see another day of racing.


Combined with the scores from yesterday's women's giant slalom and Friday's Nordic race, the Saints ended the weekend in second place with 749 team points.


Up Next: The Saints will look to host a home carnival on February 25-26 at Whiteface Mountain in Lake Placid, New York.
