LIU Fencing Competes at Temple Open


PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The LIU women's fencing team took part in their first meet of the year Sunday, taking part in the Temple open. The Sharks faced the Owls twice, with Temple coming out on top, 18-9 both times.


Despite the score, LIU had several highlights. Freshman Anna Szántay went undefeated in foil, winning all six of her bouts. Chejsa-Kaili Seck also went 4-1 in sabre, while freshman Laura Fekete had a 5-1 record in eppe. And freshman Kristina Sarkisian had two wins in foil for the Sharks.
