Pace Football Announces 2021 Schedule
PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – With exactly 50 days until the season opener, the Pace University football team officially announced its 2021 schedule on Wednesday.
"I am thrilled for this team to have the opportunity to get back to the business of playing college football," said Pace Football Head Coach Andy Rondeau. "Good things come to those who wait. There are 100-plus guys who have worked and waited for this chance, so it is an understatement to say we are excited."
The Setters' new campaign will begin on Sept. 2 when they travel to face the Warriors of East Stroudsburg University. The non-conference opener will mark 656 days since Pace's last official game—which was a triumphant 2019 season finale against Southern Connecticut State.
Following the trip to Pennsylvania, the Blue and Gold will make their long-awaited home return on Sept. 10 against AIC. Pace's first matchup against the Yellow Jackets in 2021 will be a non-conference affair.
The Setters will battle AIC again in their regular-season finale on Nov. 13—this time as a conference game on the road.
Following the first matchup against the Yellow Jackets, Pace's NE10 slate will officially begin on Sept. 18 with a road trip to Assumption College.
The Setters' other road NE10 games will include visits to both Bentley (Oct. 9) and Saint Anselm (Oct.23), while New Haven (Oct. 2), Franklin Pierce (Oct. 16), Stonehill (Oct. 30) and SCSU (Nov. 6) will all make their way to Pleasantville in 2021.
The Blue and Gold put together a 6-4 record during their last season of competition in 2019.
