Terriers Go Head-to-Head with No. 4 Seed Robert Morris in 2019 NEC Tournament Quarterfinals
The Terriers (17-14, 9-9 NEC) concluded the 2018-19 regular season on Saturday and earned the No. 5 seed in the upcoming NEC Tournament. As a result, St. Francis Brooklyn will head to Moon Township, PA to face the No. 4 seeded Robert Morris (16-15, 11-7 NEC) on Wednesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. The quarterfinal matchup with the Colonials marks the third time this season that the teams go head-to-head and the second time in less than two weeks that they'll meet. ALL-TIME SERIES: Robert Morris has gone 2-0 against the Terriers this season, winning both contests by five points or less. The Terriers fell to the Colonials on January 10, 52-49, in a game that aired on CBS Sports Network. In the teams' last encounter, Robert Morris topped St. Francis Brooklyn, 67-62, in Moon Township on February 23. St. Francis Brooklyn and Robert Morris are set to square off in the NEC Tournament for the first time since the 2015 NEC Championship game when the Colonials came out on top, 66-63. Terriers' graduate guard Glenn Sanabria is the only player on either roster that participated in the 2015 NEC Championship game. As a then-freshman, he scored 10 points in 21 minutes of play. St. Francis Brooklyn is 30-48 all-time against Robert Morris, and Wednesday's NEC quarterfinal game will be the 79th meeting between the teams in history. The Terriers are 2-4 in the NEC Tournament against Robert Morris.
